NHS England People’s Voice Ambassadors

The driving force behind this space is to allow the voice of the citizen to be heard and acted upon- a safe, friendly place where ordinary people can make positive difference by talking with health professionals in language everyone understands. The PVA aims are to strive for real change and voices that can be heard and valued.

The PVA has adopted the six values of the NHS Constitution but has adapted ‘working together for patients’ to working together with patients’ in recognition of the collaborative nature of the PVA and its commitment to working with Citizens:

  • Working together for patients
  • Respect and dignity
  • Commitment to quality of care
  • Compassion
  • Improving lives
  • Everyone counts

A huge amount of progress has been made in the West Midlands  with our Citizens leadership and development programmes and we are now looking at spreading these across the wider Midlands region and beyond. The combining of the West Midlands Academy with the East Midlands now gives us a brilliant opportunity to open this work up to citizens across the whole of the Midlands.
