SUMMARY:Career Confidence Booster and Banishing the Imposter
DESCRIPTION:What is it about? \nCareer Confidence Booster & Banishing the Imposter\nConfidence is an often misunderstood phenomenon\, as we often only notice it when it is lacking. However\, for some people a display of confidence can be misinterpreted as arrogance. How do you find the middle ground and indeed should you\, particularly when it comes to your career? But it might not be a lack of confidence which impacts on your career: research indicates that the imposter phenomenon contributes to a reluctance to move jobs (Grubb and McDowell\, 2012)\, reduced career planning and a disinclination to take leadership positions (Neureiter and TrautMattausch\, 2016\, Jöstl et al.\, 2015). \nThis online masterclass will address some of the beliefs that impact our behaviours and can reduce\nor enhance our confidence\, together with some strategies to banish the imposter chatter.\nBy the end of the masterclass participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand which beliefs affect their behaviours and career choices\nMake changes to their self-talk to boost their confidence\nIdentify a minimum of three strategies to banish\, or at least reduce\, their imposter chatter.\n\nGuest Speaker \nWe are delighted to be joined  Kate Atkin is an inspirational speaker\, training consultant and coach.\nWith over 20 years of experience as a facilitator\, Kate has worked with many clients on business\, management and communication issues. A highly skilled listener\, her style is both supportive and challenging. Kate aims to create a relaxed\, confidential learning experience\, providing practical advice that can be implemented quickly. \nHow is it run? \nThis is a 90 minute virtual workshop over Zoom. \nIs there a cost? \nNo\, this has been funded by the Midlands Talent Team and East of England Talent Team.

How do you\nfind the middle ground and indeed should you\, particularly when it comes to your career? But it might not be a lack of confidence which impacts on your career: research indicates that the imposter phenomenon contributes to a reluctance to move jobs (Grubb and McDowell\, 2012)\, reduced career planning and a disinclination to take leadership positions (Neureiter and TrautMattausch\, 2016\, Jöstl et al.\, 2015). \nThis online masterclass will address some of the beliefs that impact our behaviours and can reduce or enhance our confidence\, together with some strategies to banish the imposter chatter.\nBy the end of the masterclass participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand which beliefs affect their behaviours and career choices\nMake changes to their self-talk to boost their confidence\nIdentify a minimum of three strategies to banish\, or at least reduce\, their imposter chatter.\n\nGuest Speaker \nWe are delighted to be joined  Kate Atkin is an inspirational speaker\, training consultant and coach.\nWith over 20 years of experience as a facilitator\, Kate has worked with many clients on business\, management and communication issues.

SUMMARY:Coming Soon - Population Health Management and Strategic Workforce Planning EOI
DESCRIPTION:Population Health Management and Strategic Workforce Planning \nThe NHS Long-Term Plan and People Plan has called for the integration care system (ICS approach including Primary Care and the evolution of Primary Care Networks (PCN). The ambition is to bring general practices\, dental\, optometry and community pharmacy together to provide coordinated healthcare solutions to the communities they serve. Learning from the challenges of operating within a Covid environment\, the need to develop the leadership capabilities of those within the PCN is a key priority to the delivery of the ICS agenda and tackling health inequalities. Population health management (PHM) is one of NHS England core strategic aims for Integrated Care Systems; to improve physical and mental health outcomes\, promote wellbeing and reduce health inequalities across an entire population\, with a specific focus on the wider determinants of health (things like housing\, employment\, education). \nThe Coronavirus (COVID-19) response to date has highlighted the pivotal role of PHM\, with Primary\, Social and Secondary Care providers needing to risk stratify and proactively support key population groups with personalised care models. PHM will become increasingly important as systems move to formally establish ICSs and will be pivotal to the way that the new systems will work together to improve the health of their populations. \nObjective of the session \n\nUnderstand the impact of strategic workforce planning in tackling health inequalities and how Population Health Management can be an asset in effective workforce planning\nEnsure participants/workforce have the skills and leadership that meet their population health needs\nImprove understanding of population health management information\n\nWho can attend the programme? \nEast of England region; South East region; London region; South West region; and Midlands region secondary (all system workforce)\, Social and Primary Care Networks including GPs\, ICS’s\, Pharmacy\, Optometry and Dental\, Paramedics\, ARRS roles\, community\, and practice nurses; midwives and health visitors; social workers\, family planning or sexual health clinics; out of hours GP services \nDate and Time: \nTbc expression of interest for planned programme. This date (30th November) is only for registration of EOI. \nIs there a cost to participants? \nNo\, the programme is fully funded by NHS England \nQuestions about this event? \nOrganiser: Primary Care Programme Regional Leads \nEmail: midlands@leadershipacademy.nhs.uk \nFurther information: \nThere are 700 places and the masterclasses will be held via Microsoft Teams. The offer will close once the masterclass places are filled. The Leadership and Lifelong Learning Team will be in touch via email close to the event start date to confirm your place and provide further information.
