DESCRIPTION:Outline of the Programme  \nThe number one challenge of NHS and other care organisations is retaining and attracting colleagues in an already stretched service.  One overlooked solution is ‘interpersonal resilience’. This is the resilience we gain from the quality of our work relationships and our levels of civility in the way we interact with others.  Everyone can play their part by adopting an Outward Mindset that drives respectful relationship building behaviour:  \nIn this 60 minute masterclass\, you will cover:  \n\nWhat is interpersonal resilience and why its crucial to surviving such difficult times \nUnderstand the difference between an Inward & Outward mindset \nWhy we build our relationships and interpersonal resilience through how we regard others (Outward Mindset drives civility) \nSelf reflection and discussion where ‘I’ might be negatively impacting others and reducing others resilience \nTools and ideas for how we can play our part to create a resilient team or culture \n\nDelegates will receive:  \n\nPDF of slides \n8 page professional summary of best-selling book \nAccess to further Outward Mindset resources \n\nWho is this session for:   \nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.  \nAbout the Facilitator  \nAlec Grimsley has devoted 17 years of his life to understanding human relationships and the impact mindset has on civility\, respect and resourceful teams. 28 executive teams have trusted him with facilitating some of their most difficult conversations (16 within the NHS) and over 12\,000 NHS leaders and employees have attended his workshops. Alec is also an author and has written for the UK press. His book “Vital Conversations” reached number 1 in the leadership category of Amazon (UK). SUMMARY:Leading Transformation for Integrated Care - Collaborating within your neighbourhood/place
DESCRIPTION:Leading Transformation for Integrated Care \nColleagues working in health\, social care and the voluntary\, community and social enterprise sector are welcome to join us for our new series of 90-minute\, virtual sessions.  We have different topics for you to choose from which have been co-designed with the seven Regional Hubs of the NHS Leadership Academy and will be hosted by our delivery partner\, Tricordant. \nSo what is this series about?  Based on insights and experience drawn from work with a number of Integrated Care Systems across England these sessions will explore what partnership working looks like across teams and organisations. \nWhat does this mean for leaders?  It is co-designed with input from local representatives to understand their current challenges and opportunities. DESCRIPTION:This workshop is part of our Complete Leadership Series\, leading and managing teams\, to help you target areas of development leaders and managers have identified as top priorities right now. \nAbout the session  \nOur innate instinct to show compassion when we see others in distress or difficulty is an important part of what makes us human. At the same time\, it is also humanly possible to be selective with our compassion resulting in inequitable treatment and outcomes. This can be due to a range of different factors\, and during this workshop we explore\, what can impede compassion and also ways to expand our innate compassion to contribute to building inclusive mindsets\, practices and cultures. Learning how simple everyday changes can make a real difference.      \nThis workshop also provides those attending an opportunity to understand how microaggressions and microinvalidations can manifest and their impact.
