SUMMARY:Complete Leadership Series - Power of Compassion for Inclusion: Compassionate Cultures – action for change 
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is part of our Complete Leadership Series\, leading and managing teams\, to help you target areas of development leaders and managers have identified as top priorities right now. \nAbout the session  \nOur innate instinct to show compassion when we see others in distress or difficulty is an important part of what makes us human. At the same time\, it is also humanly possible to be selective with our compassion resulting in inequitable treatment and outcomes. This can be due to a range of different factors\, and during this workshop we explore\, what can impede compassion and also ways to expand our innate compassion to contribute to building inclusive mindsets\, practices and cultures. Learning how simple everyday changes can make a real difference.      \nThis workshop also provides those attending an opportunity to understand how microaggressions and microinvalidations can manifest and their impact. To understand how to support change at different levels\, whether for an individual\, group or organisation.  And how different approaches and practices can contribute to building an inclusive culture and make a positive difference.   \n  \nWho is this session for  \nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.  \nThe session will be virtual  \n  \nAbout the facilitator:  \nByron has a background in health and social care\, community and higher education\, leadership development; and has spent the past 30 years supporting individuals\, teams\, communities and organisations build supportive and inclusive practices\, systems and cultures. His passion is supporting individuals\, teams and organisations weave together different sources of knowledge\, wisdom and practice to support collaborative learning and change. His current work involves supporting change agents develop a compassionate and inclusive approach in their work so they can better engage with real world complexity and make a difference.  \n  \nOther information:  \nIf you are unable to attend any of the sessions above please register via our Expression of Interest page\, this will help us to understand the demand for our programmes and plan accordingly. SUMMARY:Strategic Workforce Planning and Population Health Management Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Strategic Workforce Planning and Population Health Management Masterclass \nThe NHS Long-Term Plan and People Plan has called for the integration care system (ICS approach including Primary Care and the evolution of Primary Care Networks (PCN). The ambition is to bring general practices\, dental\, optometry and community pharmacy together to provide coordinated healthcare solutions to the communities they serve. Learning from the challenges of operating within a Covid environment\, the need to develop the leadership capabilities of those within the PCN is a key priority to the delivery of the ICS agenda and tackling health inequalities. Population health management (PHM) is one of NHS England core strategic aims for Integrated Care Systems; to improve physical and mental health outcomes\, promote wellbeing and reduce health inequalities across an entire population\, with a specific focus on the wider determinants of health (things like housing\, employment\, education). \nThe Coronavirus (COVID-19) response to date has highlighted the pivotal role of PHM\, with Primary\, Social and Secondary Care providers needing to risk stratify and proactively support key population groups with personalised care models. PHM will become increasingly important as systems move to formally establish ICSs and will be pivotal to the way that the new systems will work together to improve the health of their populations. \nObjective of the session \n\nUnderstand the impact of strategic workforce planning in tackling health inequalities and how Population Health Management can be an asset in effective workforce planning\nEnsure participants/workforce have the skills and leadership that meet their population health needs\nImprove understanding of population health management information\n\nWho can attend the programme? \nEast of England region; South East region; London region; South West region; and Midlands region secondary (all system workforce)\, Social and Primary Care Networks including GPs\, ICS’s\, Pharmacy\, Optometry and Dental\, Paramedics\, ARRS roles\, community\, and practice nurses; midwives and health visitors; social workers\, family planning or sexual health clinics; out of hours GP services \nDate and Time: \nThis session will run on Zoom\, please scroll to the bottom to book your place on Thursday 20 April masterclass.
