SUMMARY:Creating High Performing Teams cohort 2
DESCRIPTION:About the session:  \nWhat makes an effective team? How\, as a leader can I help build an environment of trust\, respect and psychological safety?   \nThis 2-hour workshop will provide team leaders with a comprehensive interactive guide to developing their team using Lencioni’s team development model. It combines theory and practice with particular emphasis on the role of the manager in creating psychological safety and role modelling trust in their team.  \nExpected Outcomes:  \nAttendees develop the confidence and capability to create high performance within their teams\, to include:  \n\nAppreciating the role of the team leader in role modelling creating psychological safety within the team\nSharing best practice with peers of experience in building trust within teams \nUndertaking and interpreting assessments using the Lencioni team questionnaire\nApplying theory and practice with a range of activities\, including Kilmann’s Conflict Mode Instrument  \nSignposting to key resources – Amy Edmondson\, Michael West\, Neil Greenberg\, Martin Seligman \nAccess to a ready toolkit to implement the programme after the session \n\nObjectives of the workshop:  \n\nDevelop understanding of Lencioni’s team effectiveness model\nGain confidence in assessing your team’s effectiveness using Lencioni questionnaire\nAppreciation of trust building with peers \nApplying the model with your teams\nDelivering a range of team development activities\nTools\, techniques and tips to embed in everyday working \nPlanning implementation of approaches with your team\n\nWho is this session for:  \nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.  \nThis session would be particularly suited to Leaders/managers of teams\, at all levels\, both clinical and non-clinical\, who are committed to building the performance of their teams.  \nOther information:  \nIf you are unable to attend any of the sessions above please register via our Expression of Interest page\, this will help us to understand the demand for our programmes and plan accordingly. DESCRIPTION:Adanna has worked in Healthcare in various clinical operational and strategic roles for over 20 years.   She is internationally known for her passion for health education\, quality transformation and improvement. \nAdanna currently works in NHS England as South East Regional Deputy Director of Nursing for Professional and Systems Development and has responsibility for Regional leadership of the  Learning Disabilities\, Autism\, SEND and (interim) Mental Health. One of her Proudest achievements was working as one of 3 National Programme Leads for the Covid-19 Vaccination programme.  Adanna is a registered mental health nurse practitioner and independent prescriber. She is also trained to deliver brief psychosocial interventions to those with serious mental illness. \nAdanna has a growing portfolio of charitable work in the UK\, Trinidad and Ghana and she is also a very proud Trinidadian\, activist for social justice and race equity. She will be joining us to speak about her journey though the NHS.
