DESCRIPTION:Suicide is a topic many of us avoid discussing or\, in some cases\, many don’t even like to think about it\, however 4912 suicides were registered in the UK in 2020 with male suicide at 15.3 per 100\,000* compared to female suicide rate of 4.9 per 100\,000*.  It can have devastating effects on the lives of those that are left behind and in order to raise awareness and have a greater understanding of this topic Kelly has kindly agreed to cover a session on:- \n  \n\nHistory – exploring the history of suicide as a crime\, decriminalisation and the move towards support and prevention.\nNational Picture – current government strategy\, data and high-risk groups.\nNHSE/I – Looking at the work of NHS England & Improvement in suicide prevention\nSuicide during Covid\nThe future – ambitions and hopes for the new government strategy\n\n  \n*data taken from Samaritans website \n  \nWho should attend? \nAnyone within the NHS who would like to know more about this topic. \n  \nPlease Note:- \nFor anyone affected by this topic please ensure your personal health and wellbeing.  Support can be found either via NHS Support here and the Samaritans here.  \nIf you need any special requirements with regards to accessibility\, either during\, or after the event\, then please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to assist. \nWe will send an email with details of joining instructions for the day to all participants\, prior to the date. \nIn order to participate you may need a webcam and a headset. \nYour computer will need to have the sound function on so you can hear and speak at the webinar. \nYou will need to be connected to the internet for the duration of the webinar. \nThis webinar may be recorded. \nPlease also note that there will be a short evaluation form for you to complete at the end of the session – it is so important to us to get your feedback on each intervention we produce.  We want to ensure we continue to meet the needs and demands of the NHS.

SUMMARY:Leadership and Change Management Masterclass Series: Working at Scale with Stakeholders to Develop the PCN
DESCRIPTION:Introducing our informative and engaging Leadership and Change Management masterclass series. This series comprises of five virtual masterclasses with accompanying toolkits. \nRecognising your existing experience and skills as a professional audience\, the purpose of these masterclasses is to provide valuable protected time to provide you with fresh insights and equip you with tools to move your area of responsibility forward in ways that are congruent with local and wider systems\, and which engage and enable your teams. \nEach masterclass will provide an environment to listen and learn about effective practice and different perspectives from subject matter experts and reflect on the application and impact in your leadership.  Importantly\, you will have time and space to shape and plan the changes you want to make locally.  Masterclasses will be interactive\, allowing for questions\, discussion and sharing of ideas and experience. \nThis is the fifth masterclass in the series and focuses on Working at Scale with Stakeholders to Develop the PCN.  You and each of your stakeholders play a unique part in a complex and dynamic system.  You share a common patient-centred purpose but often have to work with different roadmaps to achieve it.  In this masterclass you will be introduced to some inspiring examples of collaboration which have broken through boundaries will explore how you can work at scale to reduce health inequalities and develop services across the system. \nThe masterclass will cover: \n\nUnderstand stakeholders and what they need from primary care.\nConsidering the patient perspective and local health inequalities\nExploring local/regional opportunities for collaboration\, multi-disciplinary working within integrated care systems\, and effective resourcing.\nIntroducing Total Quality Management and the contributing factors leaders can develop to improve quality in the PCN and beyond.\nAction planning.\n\nParticipants will take away a Quality Management & Problem-Solving toolkit. \n  \nAlthough the masterclasses are sequenced to develop leadership in the context of change\, they are designed to be independent of one another.
