SUMMARY:Midlands Talent Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:“Communities of Practice are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.” Etienne Wenger \nOur aspiration for the Midlands Community of Practice is to create a true community of system and organisational talent practitioners who have strong relationships\, shared ideas and collaborative working. This is a community for you and with you involved. Within the Community we aim to create a blueprint for great talent practice within the Midlands region and we need your voice\, input and collaboration to make this a true inclusive process for all of our Midlands organisations. \n  \nWhat is it about? \nThe session will be facilitated by Andrea Glover from Silvermaple\, and we also look forward to welcoming Rosie Smithson\, Head of Organisational Development at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust who has kindly agreed to share her experiences of embedding talent management practices.  The Trust’s approaches to talent mapping and succession planning were cited as a contributing factor in their ‘Outstanding’ CQC well-led rating. We will also be taking a look at succession planning including a quick guide to implementing different approaches as well as an opportunity to network\, share with and learn from organisation and system colleagues. \n  \nHow is it run? \nThis is a 150 minute virtual workshop . A rest break will be included. \n  \nIs there a cost? \nNo\, this has been funded by the Midlands Talent Team \n  \n

SUMMARY:Career Confidence Booster and Banishing the Imposter
DESCRIPTION:What is it about? \nCareer Confidence Booster & Banishing the Imposter\nConfidence is an often misunderstood phenomenon\, as we often only notice it when it is lacking.\nHowever\, for some people a display of confidence can be misinterpreted as arrogance. How do you find the middle ground and indeed should you\, particularly when it comes to your career?\nBut it might not be a lack of confidence which impacts on your career: research indicates that the imposter phenomenon contributes to a reluctance to move jobs (Grubb and McDowell\, 2012)\, reduced career planning and a disinclination to take leadership positions (Neureiter and TrautMattausch\, 2016\, Jöstl et al.\, 2015). \nThis online masterclass will address some of the beliefs that impact our behaviours and can reduce or enhance our confidence\, together with some strategies to banish the imposter chatter.\nBy the end of the masterclass participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand which beliefs affect their behaviours and career choices\nMake changes to their self-talk to boost their confidence\nIdentify a minimum of three strategies to banish\, or at least reduce\, their imposter chatter.\n\nGuest Speaker \nWe are delighted to be joined  Kate Atkin is an inspirational speaker\, training consultant and coach.\nWith over 20 years of experience as a facilitator\, Kate has worked with many clients on business\, management and communication issues. A highly skilled listener\, her style is both supportive and challenging. Kate aims to create a relaxed\, confidential learning experience\, providing practical advice that can be implemented quickly. \nHow is it run? \nThis is a 90 minute virtual workshop over Zoom. \nIs there a cost? \nNo\, this has been funded by the Midlands Talent Team and East of England Talent Team.

SUMMARY:Coaching CPD – Express Coaching Cohort 2
