SUMMARY:Coaching CPD – Express Coaching Cohort 2
DESCRIPTION:Coaching CPD – Express Coaching  \nAbout the session:  \nThis will explore Express Coaching from the perspective of the coach:  building an understanding of how to be impactful as a coach in a time-limited\, outcome focused coaching session.  \nCalibrating your practice to supporting a coachee in potentially one standalone session can be challenging.  Overcoming some of the potential barriers\, natural preference and indeed bias to practicing in longer term coaching relationships will be key. We will explore the practicalities of contracting effectively to build rapport and trust quickly and then practice in an agile way along the spectrum of coaching to best meet the needs of the coachee.  \nThe session will build upon your current knowledge and experience whilst revisiting coaching models\, tools and techniques to build confidence in your practice in a short-term coaching relationship. You can expect a highly interactive session with plenty of opportunity to practice your coaching skills.  \nThis workshop will:  \n\nAllow coaches to develop skills to create psychological safety and build trust quickly with their coachee  \nProvide participants with access to coaching models available to help coach in a swift but person-centred & agile approach \nSupport coaches to confidently contract\, undertake goal setting and manage the relationship within the boundaries of the coaching contract within a single session\, or contract for up to 3 sessions \nProvide coaches with the opportunity to experience\, and practice delivering an express coaching session  \n\nWho is this session for?  \nThis CPD opportunity is intended to support the skillset of coaches who are registered on the Coaching Hub currently operating in the NHS offering a framework to help support clients and organisations \nYour Commitment:  \nExpress Coaching relationships will be included in your current commitment to coaching hours.  We are looking for willingness to providing at least 3 – 6\,  45-minute sessions per year (these may be one offs\, or\, up to 3 sessions with one coachee)  \nThe session will be delivered virtually on Microsoft Teams  \nOther information: \nIf you are unable to attend any of the sessions above please register via our Expression of Interest page\, this will help us to understand the demand for our programmes and plan accordingly. You will also be notified when we release new dates for this workshop. \nIf your circumstances change and you can no longer attend\, please email midlands@leadershipacademy.nhs.uk \nThe session will be delivered virtually via zoom \nAbout the Facilitators   \nJohn Monahan\, Director of Insightful Exchange  \nJohn is an integral member of the leadership team at Insightful Exchange. SUMMARY:Techniques to embed Population Health Management approaches in day-to-day work Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Techniques to embed Population Health Management approaches in day-to-day work \nThe NHS Long-Term Plan and People Plan has called for the integration care system (ICS approach including Primary Care and the evolution of Primary Care Networks (PCN). The ambition is to bring general practices\, dental\, optometry and community pharmacy together to provide coordinated healthcare solutions to the communities they serve. Learning from the challenges of operating within a Covid environment\, the need to develop the leadership capabilities of those within the PCN is a key priority to the delivery of the ICS agenda and tackling health inequalities. Population health management (PHM) is one of NHS England  core strategic aims for Integrated Care Systems; to improve physical and mental health outcomes\, promote wellbeing and reduce health inequalities across an entire population\, with a specific focus on the wider determinants of health (things like housing\, employment\, education). \nThe Coronavirus (COVID-19) response to date has highlighted the pivotal role of PHM\, with Primary\, Social and Secondary Care providers needing to risk stratify and proactively support key population groups with personalised care models. PHM will become increasingly important as systems move to formally establish ICSs and will be pivotal to the way that the new systems will work together to improve the health of their populations. \nObjective of the session \nLearn about the core PHM capabilities – Infrastructure\, Intelligence\, Interventions\, and Incentives – to support maturity in line with the PHM Maturity Matrix\nBehaviour science approach addressing health inequalities and patient and public involvement\nTacking digital poverty\, fuel poverty\, language barriers and health inequalities in access health service \nWho can attend the programme? \nEast of England region; South East region; London region; South West region; and Midlands region secondary (all system workforce)\, Social and Primary Care Networks including GPs\, ICS’s\, Pharmacy\, Optometry and Dental\, Paramedics\, ARRS roles\, community\, and practice nurses; midwives and health visitors; social workers\, family planning or sexual health clinics; out of hours GP services \nDate and Time: \nThis session will run on Zoom\, please scroll to the bottom to book your place on Tuesday 21 March masterclass.
