SUMMARY:Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent PCN Practice\, PCN and Business Managers Leadership Programme
DESCRIPTION:“This programme has stimulated and activated a lot of advice and learning\, helping me to reframe my skills and abilities in the context of my current role.” \nThis programme provides support and development for Practice\, PCN Practice managers and PCN Business Managers with a focus on their personal skills of leadership and collaboration to ‘work at scale’.  It will consider the nature of the role and reflect on the rapid changes COVID has bought about to the way Practices and PCNs need to work and move forward.  It is designed to equip these Managers with the tools\, skills\, strategies and networks to lead\, manage and influence change.  It will consider how PCNs in the context of the People Plan and Long Term Plan will shape the way healthcare is delivered locally\, regionally and nationally\, and have a voice in the emerging Integrated Care Systems. \nThe purpose of the programme is for Practice\, PCN and Business Managers to have an opportunity to step away from their busy operational environments and spend time networking\, sharing best practice and working ‘on their local healthcare environment’ rather than ‘operationally in it’.  It is not about how to be a Practice\, PCN or Business Manager\, rather how to develop the skills that will support you to be effective in the role and to enable you to connect with other Primary Care Managers to help build a localised support network. \nSpecifically\, the programme aims are to: \n\nProvide delegates with a robust learning environment to develop ideas\, strategies\, skills and tools to drive their Primary Care Networks/Practices forward\, as appropriate.\nGive delegates time and space away from the busy operation to help them shape\, plan build and deliver change across the Region\, and in their PCN/Practice.\nWork with others on common challenges within Primary Care\, and develop ways of working in collaboration\, co-production\, and joined up thinking.\nDevelop and enhance leadership skills and strategic thinking\, and how to engage others in change.\nEnhance and develop the delegates personal network of Primary Care Managers\, healthcare leaders and decision makers.\n\nAttending the Programme \nThis programme will be delivered virtually using the Zoom platform and the focus will be on creating a learning environment that is engaging\, interactive\, informative\, supportive\, challenging and practical. \nThe programme is designed to provide delegates with vision into ‘what is possible’ and how to build on and enhance ‘what already happens’.  Throughout\, the managers will be encouraged to learn and work collaboratively\, sharing ideas and developing a sense of unity and understanding.  They will broaden their understanding of healthcare technology and of the different perspectives of stakeholder groups\, enabling them to make more informed decisions around working in collaboration with others. \nDelegates will have opportunities to work in small groups on a change theme where they can apply their knowledge and skills to move projects and initiatives forward in their practice/PCN.  They will also have access to a Digital Learning Hub\, an on-line platform designed to enhance the remote learning experience.  It includes a range of management tools\, programme materials\, videos\, questionnaires and personal learning activities (pre and post workshop) to embed learning in a supportive and practical way. \nThe programme is led and facilitated by experienced tutors Sally Turgoose and Alison Wheatly from Aspire Development\, supported by Peter Tindall from NHSE/I\, a subject matter expert in NHS strategy\, change management and forward thinking.  Delegates will have the opportunity to listen to and share ideas and experiences with relevant guest speakers and subject matter experts who are introduced to contribute to appropriate themes. \n\n\n\nWorkshop\nWorkshop overview\nDates\n\n\nThe Big Picture\nAn
