What is it about?
Join us on the 15th December for this stimulating and innovative session with guest speaker Jennifer Izekor, Founder and Leader of Above Difference Limited, who will provide an overview of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and how it relates to Recruitment, Talent Management, & Career Progression. This is Jennifer’s second ‘virtual visit’ to NHS England and NHS Improvement, Midlands following a popular session in April this year.

As they relate to cultural intelligence, recruitment, retention, and progression in a diverse workforce.
The role of Leaders and Leadership in impacting on Inclusive Workplace Culture that allows those with protected characteristics to not only survive but thrive.
Tokenism vs Meaningful Representation
How to turn strategy into action using the principles of CQ and Inclusive Leadership
Participants will leave the session with new ideas for the management of diverse talent and fostering future leaders as well as thinking about different strategies for how they can increase awareness of and begin to challenge issues.
About our Guest Speaker
Jennifer Izekor is an Advanced Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Trainer and Facilitator and also a Certified Leadership Coach, Trainer, and Speaker with the John Maxwell Team. She is an exciting, innovative and engaging speaker and facilitator and brings a wealth of public sector leadership experience as a Senior Civil Servant, Public Appointee, CEO, Trustee, and Public Sector NED to her facilitation and training. This and her lived-in experiences as a BAME Woman Leader provides her with depth, knowledge, and understanding of the challenges for Inclusion and Diversity facing senior leaders of all backgrounds in the public sector.
Above Difference Limited a fast-rising new organisation in the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion landscape supporting leaders and managers across the public sector to embrace Culturally Intelligent (CQ) and Inclusive Leadership as a key to delivering Inclusive workspaces where all are valued and diversity is leveraged to produce innovative and inclusive services.
This event is part of several exciting and innovative sessions being hosted by the Midlands Talent Management team in 2021/2022 as part of our Inclusive Talent Management Masterclass series.
Who can attend?
This session is specifically aimed at NHS ED&I, HR, OD and Talent Management professionals and senior leaders who have a responsibility for ED&I, leader and talent development within an organisation or across a system.
For those who attended in April, there will be a short re-tread of the Cultural Intelligence and Inclusive Leadership frameworks.
However, there is no barrier to enjoying and learning from this session, for those who did not attend in April.
How is it run?
This is a 150 minute virtual session over MS Teams.
