Empowering Women and the menopause

Virtual via Teams.

“Being a healthy woman isn’t about getting on a scale or measuring your waistline. We need to start focusing on what matters – on how we feel, and how we feel about ourselves.”

Going through the menopause can affect predominantly women at all ages and have devastating effects on their physical, mental, and emotional health.  In this one-hour session from 12.30 to 13.30 firstly we look at the basic understanding of what menopause and HRT is and the different age ranges and effects menopause can bring.  Secondly we look at taking some of our ‘power’ back for women working within the NHS, the effects of imposter syndrome and the positive aspects and the true power of women in their daily roles.

This session is presented by Jacqui McBurnie who works tirelessly in her work around the menopause.   Jacqui is the CHAIR OF THE NHS ENGLAND/IMPROVEMENT MENOPAUSE GROUP, member of the Cross Govt Menopause Network Exec Steering Committee and winner of the 2019 Civil Service Health and Wellbeing Award

Who should attend?

Anyone with an interest in menopause, or creating an inclusive workplace, including women, employers, HR Managers/Officers; equality leads, staff networks, wellbeing officers; senior managers and representative groups in the Midlands.
