Complete Leadership Series – Leading Compassionately through Change Virtually
What is it about?
With the changing world that we are now all working in, with the added dynamics of stress, overwork, and rapid change in a complex and uncertain world, compassion can often be the first thing to fly out of the window. Your current leadership skills are being challenged like never before in this changing landscape.
Leading Compassionately through Change Virtually will help you to understand exactly what compassionate leadership is and isn’t, where you and others are in the change process, making sense out of what you are going through and develop strategies and plans to help you and others. Whether it’s about your colleagues, patients, service-users or carers, you’ll learn how you can take your followers with you and help them through that journey virtually.
You will learn how to use your values of trust, empathy, sensitivity, connection, and sense of community and explore how those elements can be challenged in a virtual working world.
Exploring amongst some of the models, the work of Michael West on Compassionate & Empathetic Leadership, Gihan Perera’s work on Judgement in Leadership and Carol Dweck’s seminal work on Mindset, we will also give you other models and strategies to adapt and help you to be more effective in the virtual workplace. You will improve your insight into how to lead yourself and others through change virtually and develop a personal plan to engage more effectively. This programme is not to teach you about how to be compassionate but to lead others virtually, engaging strongly with your personal values and leading change with confidence.
